Our house has seven telephone slave sockets and I wish to utilise six of them for the following;

Three Telephones
Two Sky Plus Boxes
One Printer Fax

Does anybody know if this will exceed the REN Limit on the line, and if so what affect it will have on the line if they are all connected?

the REN is usually 4.

check your phones for the REN number.
and fit only up to the amount of 4

Try it and see.

Modern phones may have a REN of less than 1, but the ninimum that can be marked on the label is 1.

I don't think the sky boxes will have a REN (ringer equivalence number) value as they do not need to respond to someone ringing in.
