Begs the question, Do you actually know what you are doing regarding electrics?

If not, i suggest you leave well alone and get someone in who does.

Well I have not stripped a transformer to see whats broke inside or re-wired a circuit board yet but I am very competent in general electric’s, just don’t want to touch alarm panel board without asking as someone knows what it may have been,

AC fuse?

In the spur, in the panel where the mains comes in.
Or the dc fuse for detectors/keypads/bells?

Try and be a bit more specific.

The fact that you asked the original question suggests you are most clearly not.
To advise you further would be foolish on the part of others.

Hi alarm

Thanks some help, Alumni must have issue with people posting for help on a help forum, the AC fuse in the main panel is the problem not spur coming in. 2 amp glass fuse all zones have been bridged plus tamper and pa also. just need to know if to re-wire whole system again as tested all wires for short or breaks but nothing wrong.

He has a point TBH.
Electricity can and does kill.
Zones and PA plus no rkp or bell linked or not will not be the cause.

If you have a test meter and you are confident enough kill all power.
Remove the leads from the transformer output to the panel.
Insulate them apart from each other and then turn on the mains.
If the fuse still trips it is a faulty transformer.
If not again power down and refit the transformer leads and remove
EVERYTHING FROM THE ZONES ECT, if it goes again faulty panel.

Remember only do this if you feel confident, otherwise get someone in.

PS hate the panel anyway, if it is faulty get something else.

AGAIN IF UNSURE GET SOMEONE, YOU KILL YOURSELF DONT COME RUNNING TO ME....................Not that you could anyway, but cannot reienforce the above enough.

Hence my caution.
Anyone having the need to ask question as in OP should not be touching electrickery

They will try anyway in my experience.
At least a warning and some guidence is better than none.
