Yale siren alarm questions

Bought the system with the round yellow siren, plus sensors, keypad and fobs. Works fine and no problems so far. As always though, the instruction booklet is not very good so I was wondering if anyone here can answer a couple of quick questions. Yale helpline is constantly busy.

Is the tamper feature active when the system is disarmed?
My local builder fitted everything so I didn't see him put it together. How many and what type of batteries does the main unit use? I like to have spares to hand.
Foolishly I 'recycled' the packaging and the DVD was in there. Anyone know where another might be available?

You need spare D cells AAA cells and CR style too.

forgot to add the tamper works all the time, or it should.


D cells and AAA`s sounds like a toy my sons used to play with..................................
