repairing roof felt

hi all
i have a rip in my roof felt inside the loft, looks like its been there for years, its about 5 inch wide and the tear is about 8 inches high, i can see a bit of light through the tiles. i haven't had any leaks upto now, but would like to repair it just in case.
is there any way of repairing it inside, with a bit of roof felt or something.

You can cut a piece of roof felt oversize and paint it with bitumastic roof paint and stick it on but you will need to hold it there with something while it goes off and then paint over it again with the same bitumastic paint.

But you never get rain come in just stop the wind and dust thats all
