I need to replace the back up battery in my alarm system. I assume its in the main panel. would someone know how to do this without setting the bells ringing (as it drives me mad) I assume i have to put in the engineers code to dissarm it so i can open up the panel.
Your help would be much appreciated.

correct, the engineer code will allow access without generating a tamper alarm.

Your system may lock-out and require engineer reset if you proceed without the code being known.

Also, engineer codes beginning with 9, will be "locked in" and cannot be defaulted it the code is unknown.
