accenta g4 home alarm will not arm

Hi
Please can anyone help. The system is about 6 years old.
Have been having power cuts to the area, which indicated that the back up battery needed replacing. Have done this.
But now the alarm does not go from day to tamper when set.
beepers come on , but dont stop as the tamper does not activate.
Any ideas please

so you are setting your alarm as normal; code in then leaving building.

what does you display show when you put your code in?

it should (maybe) show zone 1 (front door open/close
and or lower hallway PIR zone 2 (if fitted)

the tamper LED should not be on ever, unless there is a tamper fault.

is the cover on the main box correctly, check this and try again

Yes the zone lights light up.

The beeps come on, but do not stop.

The day light stays on also.

I will take cover off again, and refit it.

try powering the system down completly (including the bell HOLD off +VE to bell box)

then power it up again and see what happens.
