I know the consensus is that this is a crap system, but my mother-in-law has had this working, trouble-free, for the last fifteen years.
It uses two PIRs and recently, with the system disarmed, when anyone walks past the sensors, the control panel beeps once when the PIR LED comes on and once when it goes off.
The system can be armed and it works fine with no problems. I know everyone will say replace it, but I wondered if there was a simple solution. Have done resets, but the problem persists.
