Just wondering the best way to repair hairline cracks in cornice. The cracks go from the ceiling to the wall through the cornice. If I just fill them they will re appear in months to come. Ideally tape and skim them but this is not practicle because of the shape of the cornice. What can I do? Thanks

They aren't worth bothering about. Simply fill them with paint when they appear.

These types of cracks are always difficult because they're most often caused by the flexing of the house.

I find the normal lighweight fillers open up again so you could try a two part wood filler or car body filler (same stuff). Apply it just proud of the surface and abrade flush, then you must spot prime it.

They are both made generally using polyester resin, its only the fillers added for bulk that are different which creates different textures

...and that is what makes them totally different.
