Hi,

we are looking for a CCTV system - one camera at back of house, one at front with a HDD for storage.

We want it fitted by someone and are near Durham.

We haven't got a clue, so any advice appreciated on what types of figures to expect. we have budget of £250-£500.

Decent cams = £65 each
Decent DVR = £350

Cable and fittings = Say £50

Days labour £300

But you can get cheaper. Barge pole springs to mind though.

Well we were talking about CCTV.
But no, not really.
Are we going to do this again like in another thread?

It works out to £35 a hour. Too much for 28 yrs experience is it?
Now take off tools, van, insurances, tax. What is it worth now.

But yes the majority on this forum in the Alarm`s section only do alarms.
Not
Fire detection and ssuppression
Access control and PC based systems
CCTV of course, remote vison amd control, or remote monitoring.
Some also are Locksmiths as well ( myself included)
Did I miss Gate Automation and Fabrication?
Security gates, grilles design manufacture and fitting

But what do we know.

PS is that an add I see, for 420 line cameras. A DVR with 500G HD
All for £324. lol got to be good!

What do you do in happy Glasgow then?

Considering what we have to know, its actually cheap.

IT t@@sers get more, for what?
We do most if not all they do within our industry.
