I have foolishly removed an old 2 gang switch in my hallway and did not make a note of where the wires went in the switch. I would be grateful of any help to re-wire this.

The 2 gang switch operate a light in the hall and landing and there are 2 cables coming out of the wall:

Cable 1 has red, blue, yellow and earth wire
Cable 2 has red, blue, yellow and earth wire

The replacement switch has the following connections 2-Com's . 2-L1's .
2-L2's

All help gratefully received!

You need to look at the switch(es) a the other end to see which terminals the conductors are in - there are no rules, and electricity doesn't care what colours wires are.

You will find it much easier to sort out if you learn how 2-way light switching works - trying different connections without knowing, hoping to hit on the right one is a seriously bad idea.
