dear plumbers, my washing machine (costco badged 962) got sprayed inside after a water hose split. The pcb suffered a bit of water damage and I ordered a reconditioned one from a place in southend. I now get fault code 09 which a website claims to be a corrupt EEPROM. Is this likely to be the real problem, or might there be some other fault ?

You should have posted this in the 'Appliances' section. I am no expert but I think new PCB's need programmed using a dedicated programmer and some sort of smart card specific to the washer model and revision.
