Can someone tell me what I need to do here? I have recently moved in to this house and the previous tenant was flooded by upstairs. Has the paste become part of the plaster? Every time I have a shower the wall gets soaked and it takes 14 hours to dry out! Any advice welcome. Thank you in advance

Hey hollyoaks, is there any ventilation in the bathroom at all? For example, extractor fan?

What is the wall covering where the shower is hitting - tiles/plaster/paint etc

PS Probably better to post in building rather than word games!

From your pics it appears that your shower surround is bare plaster - there's no context to the pics so its difficult to tell. Could you post pics showing a larger view of the shower area.

There's a possibility that the moisture is penetrating behind the shower base or bath tub and damaging the flooring.

Any signs or smell of mold?

Are you certain that upstairs has repaired any leaks?

Surely, if you are a tenant then this kind of thing is down to your landlord?
