Toxic Tony says the UK shouldn't rule out sending ground forces back into Iraq.
He says the rise of ISIS is due to the fact that the UK didn't invade Syria and topple president Assad.
He claims that the chaos in Iraq has got nothing to do with him and that it is all because as has been stated above, all the fault of the British government for not invading Syria.
Is Tony Blair insane :?:

Blair is prepared to fight to the last drop of blood.......as long as it is someone else's blood of course.

He is starting to sound like a fully paid up lunatic now, rather than the lunatic in waiting he was. (mind you with his money, maybe we should all go around spouting sh**te)

So, toppling Sadam Hussain created a weakened country that was unable to control tribal in-fighting any more, or prevent incursions by ISIS (or whatever they're called this week)?

So toppling another countries leader is the answer, is it Tone?

Any more bright ideas?

I really do not know how this self-serving bastard has the nerve to stand up in public and spout his vile rubbish.

I also do not know why anyone with an ounce of common sense still listens to him.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, successive governments (including Tone's) helped themselves to the "peace dividend" by cutting defence spending.

We have now scrapped our old carriers before getting new ones, dumped the Harrier, cut numbers of full-time servicemen and pretend that weekend warriors can fill the gap.

We are not in a position to take on significant military adventures.

And now, nearer home, Mr Putin is doing his best to recreate the Soviet Union. No-one can stop him and NATO is too weak to be a credible deterrent.

Remember the then USSR war with Afghanistan, talk about unstoppable force hits immovable object.... messy!

Blown out of all proportion.
All this was said in private whilst enjoying a meal out with his arms dealer pals.

We all know he is just a normal, concerned member of society.

If Tony Bliar says we need troops on the ground, then our government should immediately promote Tony to Brigadier General Blair., give him a nice uniform a SA80 and tell him to lead from the front,, Nah make him lead from the front. (making sure his uniform is some nice colour that stands out from the rest) ;) ;)

No, send him there as an aid worker.

Just like two brothers fighting. Intervene and both will unite and deck you.
And when you're down they will resume cutting lumps out of each other.

Would it not make more sense for him to utilise his skills as middle east envoy and send him over there to discuss peace with the isis protagonists?
