Intellisence 800l night set
I wonder if anbody can help me, I have not used the night set on this alarm before, (was already fitted to house)
Put in code ----*0
The control panel and the internal sound box upstairs goes off for about 20 seconds (quite loud upstairs), and then arms the system ok,
Problem is the noise wakes everyone up in the house,
I've looked in the manual and I think I need to go in via engineer mode and put in code 71(disable sounder and strobe in night set).
If I do it and it is wrong, how do I turn it back to the setting it was at?

Thanks

Steve

I will have a look at the manual not familar with this panel, sure theres others that are.

No that just disables the outside bell.... Depends on age of panel and version some versions the speaker ajust pot was for partset tones only , or set to instant set in part depending on alarm layout ( having to cross any zones in partset )

page 8 (9 if using pdf pages as front cover is page 1 then) of manual I read

NOTE: If extension speakers are fitted then the exit sounder volume for
Night or Home set can be altered by the control on the PCB marked
VOLUME

First of all thank you all for such quick responses.
Is the PCB the main box?
Apparently the manuals were left when control panel was changed.
The main box was fitted originally by ESS.
Bit of a mix and match

Yes volume control on the main box ( metal box) but as before it does depend on which version as they did change the volume options , some panels it was the night set volume , others just general volume setting.

Hi,

I've still got the installation manual from using this panel, on Page 7 it says...

SOUND OPTIONS 2 2
Enter 1 Disable exit / entry sounds in part and home set

Would that do the trick ???

edit: reading further, as an alternative, how about setting the night set exit time shorter/instant? e.g.

NIGHT SET / HOME SET EXIT TIME 3-3 (Range 0-90 seconds)
Enter 3-3. A new time may be programmed by entering a key from the table.
Enter 0 0 Seconds. All LED's off ( Instant ).
Enter 1 10 Seconds. Led 1 on.
Enter 2 15 Seconds. Led 2 on. (Factory default)

All done!!
Thanks again for your replys,
I turned down the volume in the main box,
That was a bit better but would still be enough to wake people up,
I then went into the control panel via engineer mode
(Page:cool: change the night/home exit time to 0
Now if I'm quick with my fingers on the keypad, when I turn on the night alarm it only bleeps for a millisecond.
Zzzzzzzzzz all the way
Thanks again
Steve
