Hi,

I'm new to the forum, i've gutted and redone the majority of a house that when we moved in was like stepping back in time to 1960.

Last room to do is the kitchen, and I'm getting on with destroying it but the existing oven is actually quite nice, I want to leave it in. It also looks fairly new.

The oven function and gas hobs work absolutely fine, but when I use the grill function it trips the fusebox switch every time, after about 10 seconds of the grill being on.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

JG

It could be the
1 The element
2 The Controler (energy regulator)
3 It is possible that a wire has fallen off the grill connector.

Turn power OFF. It is usually possible to remove the grill element from within the grill, remove all the grill furniture, have a loo for fixing screw at the element.

If you have to buy a grill or controller, it wont be expensive, but then again ovens can be bought cheaply.
