There is a weird white-ish growth in my combi boiler. Does anybody know what it might be and what I should do about it? I have taken a couple of photos, they're not the best but hopefully they're clear enough.

Many thanks

It's a water leak, the White stuff is minerals from the water

Its leaked at some stage probably a fibre washer on the pump nut.
If its all dry now leave it alone

Thanks a lot for your replies. Should I clean it up and check if it forms again?

Although I am just looking at it from a maintenance point of view, I think, to do a proper job, i'd clean it. That way, if it appears again, i'd know there is definitely an issue / leak from somewhere.

But that's just me.

It has leaked im not saying it hasnt and it will more than likely show again a while after youve cleaned it off if not almost straight away
If we are saying youd prefer to do it anyway then replace get a seal kit for the boiler take the pump out and replace the washers.
It might be difficult to remove the pump though and require heating
