My kitchen currently has recirculating cooker hood with no other means of extraction. I'm currently fitting a new kitchen and am aware that I have to extract to fresh air. In order to do this I will need to drill an approx. 150mm hole through an exterior brick wall (which is the front of the house).

Are there any regulations about where the hole should/shouldn't go? I was planning to put it near the existing extraction point of the boiler.

Thanks.
