If this wasn't happening so close to my location it would be hilarious The only way is Essex "Innit"

Tibbot,

I made no claims for envisioning anything, or for him making any kind of invention, never mind a "great invention".
If you had read carefully, i was implying - who knows what might result from such unpromising beginnings?

None of the developments i mentioned were seen as "intended for the betterment of mankind" - they were simply developments in technology.

Being a great country in that limited sense has no connection with bettering mankind - far from it.

FWIW: my post was addressed to John320d not the OP.

System rads only get hot if I put a non return valve on expansion pipe.
Not sure if I am supposed to do this as it probably is now a pressured system.
Will post as another subject and see what info and help I get.
Thanks for comments on this post.

Amidst all the bath related posts I missed this little gem!

To the OP - Take the non-return valve off the expansion pipe now

Doubt this is correct locatiom for this question but here goes....

I can't afford new brake pads on my van.....but a tiler I know had some left over ceramic tiles.....now I have heard they use ceramic in super car brakes.....so it must be good.

Would it be possible to use the ceramic tiles as brake pads.....

OR IS THAT RIDICULOUS?

....Maybe I won't do that.....probably best to get it sorted professionally.

On a second note......you can make up a home made flush kit for about 80quid.....I know.....becuae I made 1......

It was a waste of 80 quid.....brought a proper flush pump afterwards.
