According to the beeb the co pilot who crashed the plane told his girlfriend "one day everyone will know my name" effing rsole... the press should be ordered to black out his name and label him as the co pilot

Trouble is, the press don't care that publicising the details encourages other space cadets to copycat - they just want their air time to be the most watched.

The question that has to be asked is

Doctors, colleagues, friends and relatives were aware of his medical / emotional condition(s). Was it political correctness that prevented them from informing the airline that his medical / emotional state affected his suitability to be a pilot ?

If political correctness was responsible then political correctness contributed to the mass murder.

Probably more, his human rights (as in, doctor / patient confidentiality-type thing).

NOTHING in the co-pilot's profile

I believe that "political correctness" prevented several people raising the alarm by informing the airline and / or flight safety organisations of their concerns about the mental health / abnormal behaviour of the co-pilot. Had those concerns been passed on to the airline the co-pilot may have been taken off duty for a formal assessment.
