A friend of ours wants to install a patio at the same height as his french windows so that his wife can be wheeled in and out easily. This would mean that the DPC would only be 75mm above the patio level. I seem to remember something about this being OK provided that drainage channels are used along the walls of the house.

Is this the case, or is there another solution?

Thanks in anticipation :)

well an idea might be to dig a channel, black jack the wall with a liquid membrane to just below the height of the patio, then back fill with peabeech?

have a look at level thresholds page on paving expert.

there are interceptor channel drains for this type of application but detailing it right is key.
