Ready Mixed Render - U-can Render

Just a question
I recently replaced a front door in my property and now the new brickwork needs rendering. Theres not really a great deal to render and I was wondering whether to go for this U-can stuff (from B&Q). Anyone ever used it? it looks easy enough to do.
My front has brick at the bottom (painted) and then pebble dashed and painted although the pebble dashing doesn't appear to be the sharp stuff although it maybe the paint that's making it smooth. Are there different types of dashing? Want to match it up as best I can.
