The two radiators in my bedroom make loud banging and creaking noises every time the heating comes on. The other radiators in the house are fine. This problem only started recently. I have tried bleeding them but no air comes out, just water. What can I do?

There should be little plactic spacers on the brackets, have the rads been taken off recently for decorating etc

Put a little vaseline or oil on the brackets where the radiators hang on them. The noise is caused by expansion.

Often caused by pipes being trapped in the woodwork. They jump when they expand.

Thanks. I'll try the vaseline first - can't see any plastic spacers so maybe it's that.
