Problems with Potterton Lynx 2 boiler

Hi,
My Potterton Lynx 2 boiler has developed a problem. Everytime you turn the hot water tap on the Reset light appears and the water comes out cold. I press the Reset button on the bottom of the boiler and the light goes off, but as soon as you turn the water on again, the light comes back on.

Any ideas?

Does the boiler work OK in heating mode

probably a board fault. check for dry joints.

Do you think I need the circuit board replaced then?

It really could be anything!

Rather than blindly changing expensive parts you might be better off getting a competent CORGI engineer to diagnose the fault on a no-fix no-fee basis as these can be difficult to trace!
