I want to replace my worn out shed roof with some polycarbonate sheets. I know where I can get some second hand cheap ones, but I can't get hold of any cheap glazing bars to join the sheets. The shed is 2.5m square. Is there another way of joining them that will also be waterproof? Also, how do you join the end sheets? Do you need a special kind of bar for those?

thanks.

sorry, the only way to guarantee no leaks is to use glazing bars, the ends of the sheets need to be sealed with breather tape to prevent condensation build-up in the sheets.then you buy a cap for the end of the sheet and cut it to length and push it on over the tape.

Just on the offchance you are using 10mm poly, you can get a 5 metre length of H section for about a fiver and a length of starter trim for the same price. Use these to join and end the poly and afterwards support the joints with some wood.

Thats the cheapest thing i can think of.
