Hi, I\\\'m installing a thermostatic mixer shower fed from combi boiler in the airing cupboard, the hot supply will have to tee into the boiler outlet pipe, go up into the loft, across (about 2m) then down to the shower. Should I fit a non return/check valve in the up leg to stop water draining out when other hot taps are on or is this unnecessary?

Unnecessary, but you should ensure that there's a check valve on the incoming mains cold supply, somewhere in the house.
