During some renovation work, the wire from my water meter to the remote reader has become disconnected. There are four wires coloured red, yellow, green and blue and four terminals in the reader labelled 1, 2, 3 and 4. Can anyone tell me which wires should connect to which terminal?

I can't help you as I know nothing about wiring. But, you may wont to edit your post above and include possible make and model of your water meter and remote meter... or better still, add some pictures.
