Hi there,

First time on the forum so not sure if this has been addressed before.

The electric shower is switched on but there is no water coming out of the shower head, I can hear the pump but no water. There was a water supply problem the previous day when the shower was in use. Since reinstating the supply, this problem with the shower started then.

What is the problem?

Thanks

Depends on the shower, but check the inlet filter(s) - when the supply is disturbed then it's common to get grit and rust flakes blocking the flow.

Alternatively it could be an air lock.

Everything depends on the type of shower and how it's plumbed. Please post make and model if you need more detailed advice.

The model is a TRITON Aqua Sensation.

Opened up the front cover and it was full of black powder, looks like some kind of electrical fault.

How easy is it to get rid of the air block?

Cheers

The last time I saw that effect was when a numptie landlord ignored the MIs and used a John Guest elbow on the inlet instead of a brass compression fitting.

During it's short life the electrical innards of the shower were treated to a fine spray of water, until eventually a connection corroded enough to raise the temperature and melted the, well actually it melted pretty much everything.

Oh, BTW, you need to throw that shower in the bin and fit a brand new one.
