I recently brought a Proline dishwasher from Comet. It's playing up but I can't get time off work for Service Engineer.

Basically, whatever program I put it on, it starts to drain, the drain pump comes on, and it does not let any water in... But if I tilt the machine backwards, the drain pump stops and water flows in as normal - thus washing dishes. The only snag is, it's quite an angle. I currently have a Catalouge wedged under it to get it working.

Any ideas???

Most likely it's leaked into the base activating the anti flood device.
If you tip it about 45 degrees water may come out of the base.
If it does, keep it at that angle till no more water comes out.
Try the machine without the catalogue. If the problem occurs again you have a leak. If it doesn't then it's likely that there was too much foam inside which caused it to overflow into the base.
Don't put rinse aid in the machine if you're using 3/4 in tablets as this causes excess foam.
