Hi i have a sime friendly boiler which has just stopped firing up. The pilot light is lit and it sounds like it fires up when i turn the hot water tap on, but no flames or hot water. Any help would be appreciated?
Thanks

Firstly your boiler is not very friendly!

I assume that it does not operate on central heating either?

Assuming the water pressure is about 1.5 Bar then there may be a manually resettable overheat stat which has tripped.

If not then the next thing to check is if the fan is working. If it is then it will probably need a CORGI as the air pressure switch may not be operating. If not then the cause needs to be investigated.

Great i've sorted it. The pressure was too high and must have made it trip out so i drained it and re-lit pilot and it worked.
Thanks for your help!!
