Hi, new to all this & have never had a shower before.Have a baxi boiler
in my kitchen and immersion tank upstairs. My plumber is going to remove my bath and put in a shower for me.He says not to go for
electric because u need a qualified fitter (higher cost) and the mixer
shower option is better, but I heard that using a mixer shower will
run my hot water out in about 10 mins.Is this really true ?
Will the cold water be coming from my tank in the loft ?
Is it best to get a mixer shower with thermostatic control or is that just for combi boilers. Thanks for helping.

and the size of your tank is !

Yes, as that is the same pressure as you hot water so its balanced at the mixer.

And if he is suggesting running the shower off the old bath plumbing, have him confirm that this hot feed is the first off the tank, otherwise you'll have fluctuating hot in the shower whenever someone else runs hot water.
