In the next couple of weeks I am fitting out my bathroom with a new complete system and have been told to use push fit pipes. I have never worked with them before I have always used copper.

I would like to know how reliable they are, how easy they are to fit and which is the best product name to go for ?

it is copper.

is there a specific reason it has to be push fit?

why not stick with what you are comfortable with

It is easy to use. But if you have old pipework it'll leak like a leaky thing because the joints won't seal on imperial pipe.

Hi,
Of course you can also buy copper pushfit fittings for copper piping.
I have used both plastic and copper pushfit stuff and have found no problems at all. The main things seem to be to cut the pipe dead square, clean the ends, and make sure the piping is fully inserted into the fittings.
Other than that it is a piece of cake.

I did have one time when the O-ring was missing from a copper fitting - that did make a mess!
