Worcester - 24CDI - Blown fuse ?? Any advice appreciated!

I think the boiler is approx 8 years old and i have been in the house for 2 years without any problems. It was fine last night for hot water but I came to it this morning to find there was no power to the boiler. I checked the socket and that was fine and no fuses tripped in the main fuse box. I changed the fuse in the boiler plug and it powered on for approx 2 secs then tripped out at the main fuse box.

Any suggestions would be great !

Thanks!

BTW - System was cleaned and drained and fernox added about 12 months ago + boiler serviced (boiler has been very quiet since)

The most likely problem will be a faulty pump if there is no water leaking onto electrical parts.

Should be powered from a seperate source to confirm if you do not have proper test equipment.

Thanks for the info. I suspect there is a faulty part somewhere because its strange that its just stopped working for the first time in 2 years that i know about.

Would the pump kick in when the boiler is first started up ? even when the heating and hot water is off ?

Well im back up and running, so fingers crossed. The power supply seems to be the problem. I have powered it from another source after checking all the connections to the main board in the boiler. I have an electrician coming round to check out the original separate supply to the boiler as there is obviously something faulty there. Still seems odd though that it just went over night after 2 years of no problems??
