Bosch Pump Cap

We have a Bosch Classix 1200 WFL2463 washing machine.

We tried to remove the pump cap to drain the washing solution as per instructions, but the cap stopped turning after one turn and would not come out. (and believe me I used some serious force).

Now when the pump cap is fully screwed in again it leaks upon operation.

Am I missing something?

Please help.

There's something inside jamming it, stopping it from turning and coming out. Possibly now stopping it from sealing or may be damaged. Complete strip down of the pump and filter housing required
