I have a Potterton Myson Appollo 40S boiler with a normal cylinder system.

Recently plumber replaced two taps (Hot & Cold) under the sink that supply the washing machine. Since then the hot water isnt working anymore.

The radiators / heating work fine (but 2 of them have airlocks now).

When the system is set to heat the hot water only the boiler works for about 4 mins then cuts off.

If a hot tap was replaced then the plumber must have drained the hot water system. On refill he has most likely left you with an air lock in the hot water pipework. Connect a hose pipe from a cold tap to a hot tap, open the hot tap then gently open the cold. Leave it running for a few minutes as this will 'back flush' the system and hopefully your air locks will pop out of the H.W. expansion pipe...and bobs yer uncle.

Air locks in radiators is a different matter. With the system turned off undo the vent pips on the radiators. Air should come out until you get water, then tighten again. If not then there are two possibilities..blocked vent pip..turn off both rad valves and clean out with a pin or similar,,or perhaps more likely a blocked cold feed from feed and expansion tank in loft..in which case I'd get him back to sort it out. Its most liekly just air in the radiators.
