Having read advice re tanking shower areas on other threads, im now a bit concerned. moved in a year ago and decided to have a shower fitted. The existing tiles were cracked and generally in poor condition. So removed them. The plater on the wall (wall is solid, not plasterboard) is sound, so bought tiles and necessary adhesive ( powder type) and grout, both waterproof, but I didnt tank before tiling - not aware of tanking then. Shower was then installed.

Question is should I now remove the tiles, tank and retile.? If so tips for getting tiles of without damaging them would be very helpful

No.

If the tiles stay securely stuck on, then you don't have a problem.

If they start to fall off, then it will be less effort to remove them.

Slightly less flippantly, I think you're worrying about nothing.

as softus says , leave it now if you start having probs then get them off an tank it an retile
