Hot water but no c/heating

Hi, hope someone can help me out, I have a worcester boiler, we unplugged a plug (Battery charger) yesterday, this tripped all the sockets out in the house, got everything powered back up but the display on the programmer looks like it has a virus! bits of the lcd display have "fallen off", am I right in thinking that this is now kaput? if so, from reading the leaflet that came with it it looks like I can power it down and replace the programmer, is this reasonably simple, and any idea where would be the best place to get one?

The programmer MAY have an accessible small total reset button, try pushing it if it does. If not depower the boiler for three seconds and see if that cures it. The backup battery seems to have failed.
