Call Out Cost For A Blocked Toilet?

Hi everyone. Just wondered if anyone could give me a rough price on how much it would cost to get a upstairs toilet unblocked by a plumber in pounds sterling?

i have recently moved house and my old land lord is trying to scam me out of my deposit. Be great if anyone can help! Thanks

I do not charge call out charge.
To unblock a simple blocked loo using either hands on or mechanical plunger no more than £50.
If it means lifting drains covers and rodding upto £100.
You will always find drains specialist charge more than the average plumber.

my land lord has given me a £600 bill for unblocking the toilet, cleaning the oven and removing a few weeds. :S

could be wrong

but surley a blocked toilet is the lanlords responcibility unless youve been negligent in blocking it!!!!!

also the landlord should make allowances for fair wear and tear and discount some minor accidents and mishaps
the longer youve been there there [counted in years

Having been here before, it's relatively simple - ask for copy invoices, if he can't supply them launch a small claims court action to get your deposit back (online at www.moneyclaim.gov.uk).

The small claims court is geared to be relatively informal. Any reasonable judge would agree that £600 for minor work is excessive, and you should be awarded costs & interest as well.
