Hi - anu help you can offer much appreciated. Wall mounted Glowworm in garage, 7 years old, no problems to date, no recent work done. Yesterday no hot water or heating, had a look and it\\\'s sparking pretty much every second or so, there\\\'s a small blue flame in the tiny window on the front of the boiler, but it won\\\'t ignite... does this sound expensive? Any ideas?

Thanks -got someone coming out tomorrow to service - am now after some advice to spot whether anything else *needs* to be replaced..?

Pilot assembly, very likely, about £22? for the part.
Always a good idea to tip in some corrosion inhibitor if it hasn't had any for years. You can do that - eg Sentinel X100.
Mostly it's a cleaning and checking exercise.

If the pilot is alight and it keeps on sparking,

it's not flame sensing s it ?

either pcb, HT lead, electrode not in the flame, bad earth

Rang around and found someone to service - £40 (cleaning, no parts needed) and it's all working fine now. Thanks for the advice on here, it's been really useful.
