New Boiler

Just had my friendly BG engineer out today who has effectively condemned my boiler (Ferroli Combi 77FF). Had planned on replacing it before winter in any event when I was told it was 13 years old and not 3 years old like the person who sold me the house said. Anyway, just wanted an idea as to what manufacturers are best to go for. BG guy said Baxi ok but not ideal.
Any help/guidance greatly appreciated.
