Hello

I've just bought a flat to renovate. It has solid concrete floors, a back boiler and being ex-LA also has all pipework (and electrics) channelled outside the walls.

I'm going to have the back boiler (in the living room) removed and replaced with a combi-condensing boiler (in the kitchen). A lot of replumbing will be done and given the state of the kitchen and bathroom I may pull the entire plumbing system out and start again...

Questions:

What are the rules around heating pipes to radiators? Can I channel them into walls as is the case with wiring? Also, what about concrete floors?

Would you recommend underfloor heating over radiators in this instance, as it may save a great deal of wall work!?

Thanks

You can put the heating pipes anywhere you want to!

However unless you do it properly you will have problems!

Disturbing the concrete floor on anything other than the ground floor is likely to be refused by the landlord.
