moving a cold water tank and f&e tank higher in a bungalow with a loft conversion. The cylinder is on the ground floor next to the boiler with the tanks in the highest part of the roof. We think we might have problem with the hot water pressure in the bathroom in the conversion. From what ive read we need a metres head from cw tank to highest outlet which we cant get. Will there be any probs on ch heating side? The ch side has got a pump on it. Could we do the same on the hw side? Thanks for any help

Tap water side - may need a pump for that bathroom.
CH side - header has to be higher than highest rad. If not possible you may be able to pressurise the ch - depends on what the boiler is.

Where would we position the pump though. The hw water from the cylinder runs down the side of the cylinder and feeds the downstairs with the vent pipe going up into the loft space. we can tee in for the hw anywhere here(near cylinder). would the pump go after this to pump for the upstairs only or in a position where it would pump all hw outlets on the ground floor and above
