I have an older Kenmore 70 series top loading washer. During the rinse cycle, the machine always stops with a LOUD screaching buzz. I redistribute the clothes and continue, but it happens constantly (every other minute or so)

How can I fix it?
Is there a quick fix?

I would need to hire someone to come move it for me if i need to check the back panel, so I am trying to figure if there is any other option first.

thank you!!

I'm not sure what type of washer you have with no model number given. Some things to check are to make sure the washer is level. Also they may be some suspension springs inside your washer that are broken off.

It actually states "Kenmore 70 Series" Heavy Duty Plus on the top label of the washer with no other numbers (23726 is written on the inside?)

I notice that the inside of the washer is incredibly moveable. Is there a way for me to check the springs through the top or do I need to find someone to move it so I can check from the back panel?

Thanks!
