Conditioner Tray Problem - Tricity Bendix AW1053W

On the above machine the conditioner tray still full of conditioner after a cycle.I have cleaned the tray and compartment fully.

Reading the Sticky's I note that it is probably caused by:-

"2nd cold valve not opening, or on some m/c's its a mechanical arm that diverts water to conditioner. check the arm is moving or change complete twin valve"

I'm reasonably mechanical, and would like to know if it is easy to a) check the arm movement and b) change the twin valve - presumably these valves are easy to obtain?

Any advice would be very welcome.

you check the arm by seeing does it move (if it has one) and yes the valves are easy to get
