Hi I`m doing up my kitchen at the moment and I need to swap a gas cooker for an electric one with a gas hob. I`ve been told the gas connection is a bayonet type and is easy to disconnect, etc. Is this the case or do I have to call out a corgi reg plumber? Thanks for any replies

you can disconnect and re connect yourself

but if you are going to stop using the bayonet permanently I would get a RGI in to permanently cap it off

Trick with the bayonet is to squeeze it together before trying to turn it, then it's easy.
