Hi Folks,
I have a Vokera Combi Boiler that is around 10 years old. I realise that it has come to, or certainly nearing, its natural lifetime. However, I really cant afford to replace it at the moment, though the saving continues!
Here's my problem. The boiler has started to make quite a noise during firing. I have learnt this is due to scale and other residual build up on the heat exchanger. I have also learnt that there are products available to de-scale the boiler and indeed decomtaminate the system.
However, when I have looked at the methods for flushing systems, the advice I have seen is "if you have a sealed system (no header tank) do not do it yourself".
Can I simply drain the system, add concentrate, re-fill through filler loop and run as per instructions. Before draining and flushing with filler loop? Any tips from you great guys?
