Can anybody please advise on what might be giving my domestic hot water a chemical type of smell. The cold water system is ok, I have a Glow worm combi boiler. Could the central heating water be getting into the domestic hot water circuit?

No the central heating water cant be getting into the water hot of your domestic taps.
Heated water can have a slight smell.
