We have a Ravenheat combi boiler which was in the house when we moved in - we don't know the history, but when we had the gas fire fitted we had the CORGI fitter inspect the boiler and he passed it. He said it was only 2-3 years old.
But now it has started to trip out on the central heating, and displaying the flame failure/overheat lamp. It's OK on the hot water, and another interesting thing is when it is running up to temperature, it can be shut off and restarted by just altering the CH temp control on the fascia panel - so I reckon the thermostat is OK, so we must be looking at a thermocouple problem?
Should I give the system a flush? BTW I have raised the pump speed in case of a flow problem.
Thanks in anticipation.
