I need to find a shower trap that will fit into 100mm vertical space. The shower tray will be on 1" of mortar on a plinth and the hole measurement to the bottom underside of the plinth of the tray will be 1.1/2". The problem is the recommended Mcalpine trap does not allow for the connection of the 40mm waste. There is no clearance to push fit or compression fit the waste pipe. Any ideas on this one? I am reluctant to fit a shallow bath-shower trap as it only gives 20mm water seal. Also I would have to source a flanged 2.7/8 inch waste fitting that would connect. In other words the distance from the waste shower hole flange end when all connected and screwed has to be longer or lower down the trap in order to fit the 40mm waste pipe run. I also dont want to cut the floorboard to accomodate a P type trap.
