Hi,

Heating company now talking about fitting an automatic bypass valve to the new system - what's that, and do I need one?

We're planning a new heating installation in an old house (there was none), comprising a gas fired condensing system boiler, either Ideal Icos System 24HE or Baxi Megaflo System 24HE, with high recovery cylinder and 17 rads. Controller will operate 2 zones (hw and heat), TRVs on most rads and a room thermostat (or two).

Any help much appreciated,

Henrik

Gordon,

Thanks - you'd recommend the Baxi ahad of the Ideal? - any major reason why? Also, is there much work in fitting an auto bypass valve - how much do they cost, roughly?

Thanks

Henrik

about 25 pounds to buy and dont take much fitting . the ideal is not very reliable and prone to leaking
