I have normal 15mm pipes going to the inlet valve of the cistern and a stop valve on it. My problem is that the tank takes so long to fill, the spur is from the cold water tap on the sink and thats seems to be ok, pressure wise.
Any Ideas folks other than moving LOL

First and obvious, make sure the stop valve is fully open and working.

Failing that , undo cistern valve and replace cone, washer and plunger (cone, washer and plunger sold together at DIY shops £1 to £3). whilst doing that you will probably notice swarf/muck/deposits collected in the existing cone that you are replacing.

May be that a high pressure cone is installed (if there is such a thing) and a low pressure one would be better. only guessing on that theory.
